1. About This Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how information may be collected, used, and handled when people use OOCEBU and its main community services — including discovery, marketplace, jobs, events, towns, seller profiles, and business profiles.

This page covers the main OOCEBU experience. Separately branded features (such as OORide) may have their own product flows and support documents.

2. Information You Provide

OOCEBU may receive information you voluntarily provide when you use available features. That can include, for example:

Account registration and sign-in — such as email address and password, or information received through Google sign-in when you choose that option
Profile details — such as display name, username, bio, location text, website, occupation, skills, avatar/cover images, phone, email, or social links when you edit your personal profile
Seller Profile applications — contact and business-related details collected during the seller application flow
Business Profile applications — business information submitted through the business application or portal flows
Marketplace listings — titles, descriptions, pricing, images, and related listing fields you submit
Job listings and job applications — job post content, and application fields such as name, email, phone, location, message, experience, start availability, and resume file name/size metadata (as implemented in the apply form)
Events — event details submitted when creating or managing events
Messages or inquiries — marketplace-related messages and inquiry forms (including contact fields when provided)
Reports and other forms — information you submit when reporting content or using other on-site forms

Some of these flows currently store drafts or submissions in your browser (for example via local storage) in addition to, or instead of, server-side databases, depending on the feature and environment.

3. Information Collected When Using OOCEBU

When you use OOCEBU, the system may also process:

Authentication and session data — session cookies and related browser storage managed by our authentication provider (Supabase) so you can stay signed in
Cookie preference — a local-storage flag for cookie banner accept/decline choices on this site
Local application data — browser local storage used for feature state such as saved marketplace favorites, marketplace messaging drafts/history (client-side), job application records in preview mode, listing drafts, personal/seller/business profile drafts, and similar client-side preferences
Search activity used for site features — search keyword popularity and result-click counts may be recorded in OOCEBU’s backend (Supabase RPCs for search analytics) to power popular keywords and admin search insights
Bot-protection signals — Cloudflare Turnstile tokens on supported sign-in/sign-up screens to help reduce automated abuse

OOCEBU does not currently integrate third-party advertising trackers (for example Google Analytics or Facebook Pixel) in the main web app code inspected for this policy. If that changes, this page should be updated.

OOCEBU’s main site experience does not request device location for local discovery features in the same way ride-product surfaces may. Location text you type into forms or profiles is user-provided content, not automatic device GPS collection for main browsing.

4. How Information Is Used

Where applicable, information may be used to:

provide OOCEBU features such as browsing, accounts, listings, jobs, events, and messaging
display submitted public profile or listing information
process Seller or Business Profile applications and related statuses
support sign-in, account management, and password recovery flows
operate search features and related search performance statistics
help prevent automated abuse (for example Turnstile on auth screens)
respond to support requests you send (including email to OOCEBU support)
maintain safety features such as report options where available
improve OOCEBU as the product develops

5. Public Information

Some information is intentionally published or shown to other visitors when you use public features. This may include content on:

personal public profiles
Seller Profiles
Business Profiles
Marketplace listings
Job listings
Events

Please avoid submitting sensitive information that you do not want others to see. Once content is public, other visitors may view or share it through normal web use.

6. Sharing of Information

OOCEBU does not sell personal information. In the current main OOCEBU implementation, information is primarily used to operate the product rather than being sold to data brokers.

Information may be processed by infrastructure providers that power OOCEBU features, including:

Supabase — authentication sessions, database features, and related backend services used by the app
Cloudflare Turnstile — human-verification on supported authentication pages
Google — if you choose Google sign-in/sign-up

Those providers process data according to their own terms and privacy practices when their services are used.

Public content you submit may also be visible to other OOCEBU visitors without further notice.

7. Data Storage and Security

OOCEBU uses reasonable technical measures appropriate for a modern web application, including authenticated sessions, HTTPS-served routes in normal deployment, and service providers that support secure transmission.

No online service can guarantee absolute security. We do not claim that information is completely secure or that unauthorized access can never occur. Please use strong credentials and protect access to your devices and accounts.

Some feature data stored only in your browser (local storage) remains on your device until you clear site data or uninstall related app data.

8. User Choices

Depending on available features, you may be able to:

update personal profile information through Edit Profile / account flows
manage marketplace favorites, listings, jobs, or events where those owner tools exist
adjust account settings (including routes under user settings when signed in)
sign out of your session
accept or decline the cookie banner preference stored in your browser
clear browser storage to remove client-side drafts or local records
contact OOCEBU support with questions or requests related to your information

Some content may live only on-device until a server-side account API fully backs that feature. Availability can differ between signed-in, guest, and preview environments.

9. Children's Privacy

OOCEBU is intended for general public use of community information. Users should comply with applicable laws regarding information related to minors. Do not submit personal information about children through OOCEBU features if you are not permitted to do so.

The main OOCEBU codebase does not currently declare a single global minimum registered-user age on these legal pages; operators should enforce any legal requirements that apply in their jurisdiction.

10. Third-Party Links and Services

OOCEBU may contain links to external websites, social profiles, email/phone actions, maps, or other third-party destinations. Some listed businesses, sellers, jobs, or media may send you outside OOCEBU.

Those third parties are responsible for their own privacy practices. This Privacy Policy does not control how they handle information.

11. Changes to This Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated as OOCEBU changes. The latest version will appear on this page with an updated “Last updated” date.
